The organization in question was founded in 1848. Lots have happened from that time to the present age. The game has changed--especially when it comes to friendships and the accessing of information. With the advent of certain technologies, the lines between morality, legality, and safety have become blurred. The usage of AI-technology in education and in business has already been addressed. Something so novel and shrouded in mystery has its risks in society.

6.84 billion people around the world own a smartphone as of 2024. I'm sure you've heard of doom-scrolling, which is basically just riding the dopamine train as your phone spits out novel content at the swipe of a finger or thumb. Nowadays, we have devices that are more powerful than the guidance computer that sent Apollo 11 to the moon, but instead we use them to consume ultra-processed and oftentimes disingenuous or fake content.

The point is, it's how you use the technology that matters. You can have the best tools in the world, but if you don't know how to use them, good luck! On the other hand, mediocre equipment in the hands of someone skilled in their craft is preferable to a novice with the latest technology.

Are you a cellphone, wallet, keys kind of person? Then it might be worth it to upgrade those items.

Carrying a bag around is also an option.
